Sew Hope Community Sewing Room

Class Description

Are you looking for something meaningful to do? Do you have an interest in making new friends while sharing your love for creativity? If so, the Sew Hope Community Sewing Room invites you to become a valued volunteer. At Sew Hope, we welcome volunteers from all races, ages, and backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of our community. Whether you're a sewing enthusiast or a complete beginner, we extend an invitation for you to join our team and contribute to the spirit of community engagement. Here's a brief overview of what volunteering at Sew Hope entails: Orientation Session: All volunteers participate in a 90-minute orientation held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am to 11:30 am. Volunteer Opportunities: Sorting and folding fabric donations Assisting customers with purchases Supporting sewing/quilting classes Engaging in charity sewing Assisting with administrative tasks If you possess a skill not listed above, we'd love to hear about it! Sew Hope values the diverse talents our volunteers bring to the table. Flexible Schedule: Our volunteer schedule is designed to be flexible. Some volunteers contribute several times a week, while others participate once a month. Whatever your availability, we appreciate and accommodate your commitment. If you have any questions about volunteering, we encourage you to share them with us at our next volunteer orientation. Remember, the orientation is held every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10 am to 11:30 am. Join us in creating a vibrant and supportive community at Sew Hope! We look forward to meeting you.

Cancellation Policy

Registration & Payment: Payment is required upon class registration. Guests, children and pets are not permitted during class. Service dogs are welcome, please inform us in advance. For any special assistance requirements, please notify us in advance so we can assist you. Students may arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up for class. Classes will begin promptly. Refund Policy: If Sew Hope cancels a class due to low attendance you may opt for a full refund or credit. For student initiated cancellations, a full class refund if cancelled 5 days before the scheduled class. A credit is issued for cancellations 2-4 days prior to your class. No refund or credit is given for cancellations within one day of class. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for withdrawals after the class begins or for missed classes due to illness, personal conflicts or other reasons. Credit or fee transfer to future classes is possible, valid for up to 6 months from the originally registered class date. In the event of class cancellation due to weather or unforseen circumstances, we will attempt to reschedule. If the rescheduled date is inconvenient, you may opt for a refund, or credit (prorated for multi-session classes)
