Class Description

Do you desire to learn how to sew? If so, this is the 4-week course that you have been waiting for! This 4-week course takes place January 4th-25th, from 12pm - 2:00pm. Learn how to sew in a fun, creative environment with detailed instruction that will give you confidence as a sewer. Over the course of four weeks, you will learn important sewing fundamentals and skills that will help you throughout your sewing journey. Each course is 2 hours long and is open to kids (ages 8 and up) and adults Week 1: Sewing Machine Basics Learn your sewing machine How to thread a sewing machine Wind a sewing machine bobbin How to sew a straight line, curves, and corners Sew a fun, beginner project Remaining Weeks 2, 3, & 4 of Class: Sew Fun Projects (Projects may include:Tote bag, zipper pouch clutch purse, laptop bag, pillowcase, drawstring bags, cosmetic bags and more) Learn how to sew your sewing project Learn how to sew corners and finish seams Understand different fabrics Learn about seam allowances Learn how to cut and measure fabric Become proficient in using a sewing machine This class is open to kids (ages 8 and up) and adults. This is the perfect class for the novice sewer or the person that needs a refresher. Your class fee includes all fabric, supplies and sewing machine. (If you have your own sewing machine, you are welcome to bring it or use ours). Pre- *Students that are 15 minutes or later to class may be refused entry by the instructor and will forfeit that class. We do this to ensure minimal interruption in our classes. Please be courteous to our instructors and to your fellow sewing classmates by arriving to class on time. Registration & Payment: Payment is required upon class registration. Guests, children and pets are not permitted during class. Service dogs are welcome, please inform us in advance. For any special assistance requirements, please notify us in advance so we can assist you. Students may arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up for class. Classes will begin promptly. Refund Policy: If Sew Hope cancels a class due to low attendance you may opt for a full refund or credit. For student initiated cancellations, a full class refund if cancelled 5 days before the scheduled class. A credit is issued for cancellations 2-4 days prior to your class. No refund or credit is given for cancellations within one day of class. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds
